SCRC Resources Web App
Embedded community resource portal for a school district, featuring searchable listings and full administrative content management tools.
Client: Oswego Community Unit School District 308
Type: Public-Facing Community Resource Portal (Embedded Application)
Overview
The SCRC Resources web application is a centralized community resource portal developed for Oswego School District 308. The goal was to provide families, staff, and community members with a clean, searchable, and easily maintained directory of local support services.
The tool is embedded directly into the district website, creating a seamless user experience while maintaining the flexibility and scalability of a standalone web application behind the scenes.
The Challenge
The district needed a better way to:
- Organize local community resources (mental health, food support, housing, etc.)
- Make information easily searchable and filterable
- Allow internal staff to update content without developer involvement
- Maintain long-term sustainability with minimal cost
Previously, resource information was difficult to manage and required technical intervention for updates.
The Solution
I designed and developed a lightweight, maintainable web application that includes:
- A clean, responsive front-end interface
- Robust admin management tools
- Category-based organization and filtering
- Seamless embedding into the district website
The application allows district staff to manage resources entirely through an admin dashboard — no code changes required.

This project reflects my approach to building practical, sustainable solutions — not just software, but tools that continue delivering value over time.
